A live demonstration was sponsored by MIT's Department of Chemical Engineering featuring New Horizons in Bioreactors and Bioprocessing: The Fully Automated Bioreactor.

MIT's Department of Chemical Engineering sponsored a live demonstration and seminar featuring automated reactor feedback control to optimize yield and performance. Groton Biosystems, DASGIP, YSI and Agilent were at the seminar to demonstrate the power of automation in bioprocessing.

The seminar focused on three technologies in one automated system -

PARALLEL BIOREACTORS SYSTEM providing continuous feeding strategies based on OPC communication - DASGIP

REAL-TIME AUTOMATED SAMPLING enabling Online Analysis of key metabolites and nutrient products - Groton Biosystems ARS-M

ANALYZERS for Nutrients and Metabolic Products such as glucose, amino-acids, and lactate - YSI Nutrient Monitor and Agilent HPLC System.
